Situated within the Bupyeong Plant, this Education center was conceived to nurture automotive technical talent in alignment with the government's employment promotion policies. Through our On-the-job training (OJT) programs at the production site and the training of automotive maintenance technicians under the National Human Resource Development Project - a collaborative initiative with the Ministry of Employment and Labor - GM Korea TechnicalĀ Education Center has proudly contributed to the graduation of approx. 5,700 automotive technical workers. Remarkably, nearly 1,200 of these graduates have found their professional homes within GM Korea, across the broader automotive industry, and among Chevrolet AS suppliers.
The Technical Education Center has earned the Ministry of Employment and Labor's endorsement for its training curriculum, designed for both GM employees and our valued suppliers. To date, we've enhanced the job skills of nearly 103,000 employees (approx. 91,000 from GM and approx. 11,700 from after-sales service providers & suppliers).
Beyond individual training, theĀ Technical Education Center plays a pivotal role in supporting company-wide educational initiatives. This includes orientation for new production employees, advancement training for those stepping into field supervisory roles, preparatory courses for retirees, and specialized programs aimed at elevating after-sales service maintenance skills and overall quality. Furthermore, the Center serves as a vibrant hub for a variety of events, including conferences, seminars, and workshops, underscoring our commitment to continuous learning and development.
